About Me

Nioda Whitefeather
Counsellor | Dip.counselling, Bpsych, M.A.C.A (Level Provisional)
I have walked through sorrow and pain, sitting in the shadows of my being until the light within me began to shine through. I have been broken and rebuilt many times, but each time, I broke something deeper within myself—until a new version of me was born. Just as I have known the depths of pain, I have also discovered the heights of joy and ecstasy. The storm clouds parted, and the sun broke through. Today, I dance in the rain and find rest in the storm. I know when the time is for action and movement and when the time is for going inward and listening deeply. I move with life’s motions. No longer do I fight against myself or the world around me; I dance with it. I learnt to embrace my flaws and accept myself for who I am.
This is why I have chosen counselling. I don’t believe in “just getting better.” I believe in reaching for the heights of joy, even in the midst of challenge. I am passionate—not about “mental health,” but about shifting our very idea of what health is. Shifting what we believe happiness can be. The heights of joy are not only attainable, they’re meant for us. We shouldn’t stop in the absence of pain, we should keep going until we feel the space of liberation and freedom inside our bodies and minds.
My Approach & Values
True healing happens when there is self-reconnection. However, it can take a long time to achieve this, and there are many different avenues to get there. My approach is flexible and adaptable to the person, situation and phase they are in. Meaning I tailor each session to your unique needs, experiences, and goals. I am there for whatever phase of life you are in and/or ready for. Whether that is in deep need to remedy anxiety or depression or whether it is a time for self-growth or to completely break down those internal barriers and shape the life you want for yourself.
I am there for support and I can also coach you through to achieving your dreams, holding space as we break down the barriers and obstacles together.
I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions with honesty and openness. I openly encourage you to do whatever it takes to feel comfortable. For my locals, I am available for walk-and-talk counselling, and for my online people, you can draw or colour while talking or be moving about the room. Movement is essential for many people to aid processing.
Using a range of evidence-based techniques, I integrate psychological insights with a holistic perspective, ensuring that our work together supports not just your mind but your overall well-being.
I value authenticity, deep respect, and collaboration in the therapeutic process. My goal is to empower you to find clarity and resilience within yourself, whether you’re facing anxiety, stress, life transitions, or personal growth challenges. I believe in making counselling accessible, ethical, and meaningful, ensuring that every client feels heard, supported, and understood. No matter where you are on your journey, I’m here to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your inner strength and discover a life of joy and bliss.
